Chess Puzzles

Chess Puzzles (iOS) · Effective 4 October 2026

Privacy Policy

The short version

Chess Puzzles has no account and no server for your play. Your puzzles, your rating and your progress stay on your iPhone or iPad. Two things leave the device, both without your name: anonymous usage counts (which you can turn off), and the status of a purchase so your subscription can be confirmed. Nothing is ever sold, and there is no advertising.

What stays on your device

Nothing is synced between devices in this version. Your data can be part of an iCloud or computer backup of the device, governed by Apple's own terms. Deleting Chess Puzzles deletes its data from the device.

Anonymous usage measurement

To understand what works, Chess Puzzles sends anonymous counts to TelemetryDeck, hosted in the European Union: app opens, steps of the welcome (the level and goal chosen), series completed (mode, number of puzzles, rounded accuracy), the daily goal reached, views of the subscription screen and purchase steps, and the answer to the notification request. Each count carries a random identifier created on the device and hashed, your region and language, and the app version, never your name, email or device identifier.

Never sent: the puzzles you play, your moves, your rating, or your detailed statistics. You can turn this measurement off at any time in Settings > Privacy; nothing else in the app changes.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple; Chess Puzzles never sees your payment details. To confirm your access and to count subscriptions, the status of your purchase is also shared with RevenueCat, tied to an anonymous installation identifier.

Game Center

Leaderboards and achievements are optional. If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple's Game Center under Apple's terms. If you are not, nothing is sent.

Notifications

The daily reminder and the reminder before a free trial ends are scheduled on your device. There is no notification server.

Children

Chess Puzzles does not ask for a name, an email, a photo or a location, from anyone.

Your questions and requests

Write to Gambinoromeo9@gmail.com. Since your play never leaves your device, deleting the app erases it; for the anonymous measurement, turn it off in Settings > Privacy.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with its effective date.
